Emily: Hey, I was thinking... Does time ever seem to pass really fast, and really slowly, at the same time?
Dee: I don’t know. What do you mean?
Emily: It’s just I’m about to finish year eight... And it kind of feels like I started year seven only yesterday, but it also seems so long ago. I don’t know if it seems longer or shorter than 2 years.
Dee: Huh.
Emily: You never get that?
Dee: I don’t really know. I guess it’s difficult to compare my experience of time to yours anyway, right? I bet your life doesn’t feel short to you.
Emily: No, it feels normal. Does it seem short to you?
Dee: Very.
Emily: Does each day pass like a moment to you, then?
Dee: Not really. I don’t even know how much time I fit into one of your days, anyway.
Emily: I’m guessing a lot. But still, out of infinity...
Dee: Yeah, well. Relativity strikes again!!
Emily: Isn’t that something to do with physics and therefore not you?
Dee: There are some things you can’t escape, Emily.
Emily: Says the guy who can teleport through time.
Dee (teleporting away): Suffer, lowly human!
