Emily: Think of the lives we could save! With your time travel and however it is you find dying people, you could...
Dee (shrugging): I just go to the next person who's going to die. That automatically means they can't be saved.
Emily: Why?
Dee: Because if they were saved, they wouldn't be dying, and I wouldn't need to be there. So I wouldn't know about it. And I couldn't possibly be a part of saving them.
Emily: A paradox?
Dee: Yeah, and I don't think those are actually possible. Besides, I'm not allowed to save anyone.
Emily: Says who?
Dee: The Law.
Emily: The Law again! What even is this Law?
