Emily: So you make, like, double vision memories?
Dee: More or less, I think. It's like a really bad way to multitask. Especially since I better achieve many of the same effects with time travel.
Emily: Well that's kind of a bummer.
Dee: Not everything cool is useful.
BESIDES THESE INSIGHTS, THERE WERE NO DRAMAS FOR THE TIME BEING. I ALWAYS TOOK CARE TO BE OPEN AND UPFRONT, AND ENCOURAGE EXTRA COMPANY, BUT IT REALLY CAME DOWN TO LUCK THAT MORE PEOPLE REACTED WITH RELIEF THAN SUSPICION. I DID GET APPROACHED FOR A NEWS STORY, THOUGH.
Emily (on the phone): Oh, uh, no, don't give them my details, thank you! This isn't a stunt, y'know? I don't want fame, I wanna keep it respectful. Oh yeah you can tell them whatever you feel like! Just... yeah! Yeah. (Off the phone) Huh! That was my boss, the local paper wants an interview?
Ella: Oh! You said no?
Emily: Yeah... was that right, do you think? Is it more suspicious or less?
Ella: I think it was a good decision. Besides, the main thing you're supposed to be worrying about right now is exams!
Emily: Ugh! I studied enough today already!
Ella: I know sweetheart, I meant it's good to turn some things down! You do so much.
Emily: Oh! Ok!
