Emily: Doesn't she live with her boyfriend? What's he doing? Is he taking care of her?
Dee: ... She says he is. I've never been there when he is so I don't know.
Emily: Can't you find out?
Dee: No. Listen, I have a strict code of conduct with Zoe. I'm breaking it already, but... She would be deeply uncomfortable if I spied on her or her boyfriend.
Emily: Okay. Well... okay. Has she gone to a doctor, or...?
Dee: No.
Emily: What about... I bet her family's still useless?
Dee: Yeah, no change there, I think.
Emily: What about her friends?
Dee: She doesn't... seem to have any.
Emily: What!? What about all those people she told me about? From orientation and her classes? What about the guys from school?
Dee: She's dropped contact with them all, as far as I can tell. I don't think they ever got that close.
Emily: So, what, it's you, me, and her boyfriend, and I'm a billion kilometers away. You gotta take me back.
