Dee (no boogie board or surfboard): People have drowned at this beach.
Emily: I know. Someone died last year.
Dee: Yeah. Did you know him?
Emily: No. ...Do you remember everyone who dies?
Dee: Of course not. You don't remember all of your homework ever, do you?
Emily: No. ...You know, it's funny to hear you trivialize dying.
Dee: I'm not trivializing it. It's just another task that needs doing.
