(Now Emily has a beaker of water on a table. Dee's hand is in the water.)
Emily:
Now... has the water level gone up?
A boy: Yes.
Emily: Can you see how? Is there anything in there?
The boy: No...
Emily: You sure?
The boy: Wait... there's an... empty hollow? What the hell? Ow.
MOST PEOPLE HAD TO BE TOLD TO LOOK BEFORE THEY'D SEE, BUT...
(Emily and Dee doing the couch thing and asking someone.)
A girl standing on the other side of the common room:
Hey! Is that couch floating!?
NOT ALL
Her friend: Um
Emily (reviewing her notes later): So pretty much everything you touch or move is able to be seen, it seems. Even when you swallow things... or try to...
Dee: It would appear that I can't make material objects invisible. People just don't seem to notice me move things. Unless they are sitting on them... heh... But how would I produce such a perception filter, I wonder?
Emily: Yeah, I dunno. And nobody could see you at all, so you're either actually invisible or you've got an even stronger perception filter on yourself.
