MY AUNT AND UNCLE WERE DOUBTFUL, TO SAY THE LEAST.
Ella: You WHAT!?
Alan: Like that Alaskan guy who died!?
Emily: I won't die! I'm not going to try to live solely off the land, for one thing, I have all my savings, I'll be able to get supplies -
Alan: How will you get around, you still haven't bought a car!
Emily: I want to mostly hike, so -
Ella: Will you stay in contact? How will we know where you are? What if you have an emergency?
Emily: I'll get an emergency radio in case I get into trouble, and I'll send you postcards! Look, okay, I need to do a lot more research, but I will do that, and you can check it all over, and - and Dee knows a lot about this, from his commune, and depending on his health we might meet up, and -
Alan: What about Markus?
Emily: I dunno. I invited him along but he's checking with his parents.
Alan: If he doesn't, would you do long distance?
Emily: Dunno! We'll see!
Ella: Will you have enough time to do all that research and planning, with exams coming up?
Emily: If I have to, I can keep researching into summer, I don't need to set a specific leaving day probably.
Ella: Hmm, what about -
SO I SETTLED IN TO DO ENOUGH RESEARCH TO CONVINCE THEM.
