Ella: I'm serious. It really is important. Like it or not, you're going to have to spend your life around people, and you're going to need to be able to talk to them.
Emily: I can talk to people. I just don't want to.
Ella: Why not? Are they being mean to you?
Emily: Not really.
Ella: ... Are you OK? Are you feeling OK?
Emily: What? Where did that come from?
Ella: Well, you know we worry sometimes.
Emily: Don't! I'm fine! What would give you any inclination that I'm not? I'm happy! I promise you, I'm happy! And I'm not going to the social.
Ella: -sigh-
