Dee: Emily, if you think... all this time... (He pauses and stands up and stares out at the clouds.) Okay, this is one of the thoughts that petrifies me. But I am going to keep it together. ... If I could have been doing things, in the universe, to help people... doesn't that make me utterly evil? I always thought I had to stay in my lane, you know? But recently I've been thinking ... maybe there were no lanes, and I made it up, all the rules. So it was my choice, all this time... every time I chose to turn away. To assume it was for the best. Until you had to tell me - Don't you ever think about that?
